It's all Triads, Baby!

"I'm not afraid of using a C major triad!" :D 

... that's the signature below my avatar on the internal Academy forum. Triads are fantastic, so simple, and part of the most complex chord structures at the same time!

So, if you are rooted in harmony, you know how confusing this subject can be to somebody starting out. Again, we simply shift our perspective and stick to triadal structures as long as possible. And this shift alone wipes out so much confusion and helps everybody focus on what is important - writing great music!
